Ocean Blvd., to vote on: the two-year terms of new members of the board for Fiscal Year 2012-2013; appointing Cameron Andrews to fill the vacancy in the board representation for the Downtown Parking Improvement Area through September 30, 2013; appointing Cindy Allen to the board’s vacant at-large position through September 30, 2013; appointing Loara Cadavona as the board’s residential representative starting October 1, 2012; and the final draft of the Fiscal Year 2012-2013 Budget. July 27 Applications Due For DRC Executive Committee - The Downtown Residential Council (DRC) is seeking candidates to fill an opening on its executive committee. Candidates must be residents of Downtown Long Beach within the boundaries of the six neighborhood associations DRC represents, which are, in general: Ocean Boulevard, 10th Street, the 710 freeway and Alamitos Boulevard. August 8 710 Corridor Project Public Hearing - The California Department of Transportation has released the Draft EIR/EIS on the I-710 Corridor Project for a 60-day public review. The environmental review is looking at proposals that would improve Interstate 710 (I-710) in Los Angeles County between Ocean Boulevard and State Route 60 (SR-60). Major elements include widening the I-710 freeway up to 10 general-purpose lanes (five lanes in each direction).
