July 3, 2012 – The Long Beach Rotary Club, on June 27, welcomed its new president, Gregory Haeseler, pictured below with Madrid Zimmerman, new club administrator. Haeseler has been a member of Rotary for nine years and is vice president of investments at Wells Fargo Advisors. He has served as a boardmember of the Torrance Chamber of Commerce, the College of Business Advisory Board at California State University, Dominguez Hills, the South Bay YMCA and is a former chair of Long Beach Day Nursery. Zimmerman replaces Karen Wyrick, who retired after serving 33 years as the club’s executive director. Zimmerman, who grew up in Long Beach, was a member of the Pisgah Forest Rotary Club in Brevard, North Carolina, and executive director of the Heart of Brevard organization before returning to Long Beach. Founded in 1917, the Long Beach Rotary Club has 350 members and is the largest Rotary group in the Orange County/Southeast Los Angels County District 5320.
