July 3, 2012 – Shaun and Sara Yzquierdo opened their shop Modern Emporium on June 7 at 441 E. Broadway in the heart of the East Village Arts District. The eco-friendly shop features women’s clothing, handbags, shoes, jewelry, home décor, gifts and art pieces produced by local artists. According to Sara, the inspiration behind the styles in the boutique comes from a broad range of sources. The shop is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., and on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. It is closed Mondays.
