September 25, 2012 – The Port of Long Beach Communications Division recently won awards from two of the nation's leading organizations in the communications field, including the prestigious Telly Awards and peer recognition from the national City-County Communications and Marketing Association, or 3CMA. The communications staff won a Telly Award in the education and recruitment categories for its videos “Women at the Port,” and in the entertainment category for last year’s centennial documentary “Faces of the Port.” At the 3CMA conference in Portland, Oregon, on September 6, the port communications staff competed against government agencies across the country.
