LBCC Appointments

July 30, 2013 – Long Beach City College (LBCC) recently announced three new leadership appointments. Marilyn Brock has been appointed interim vice president of academic affairs and dean of career technical education. Brock will hold this position as the college completes its search for a permanent vice president of academic affairs. She most recently served as interim associate vice president for the LBCC Pacific Coast Campus (PCC). Meena Singhal has been appointed associate vice president at PCC. She previously served as dean of academic services and interim dean of language arts at LBCC. Both Singhal and Brock began working in their new roles effective July 1. Tom To has been named interim associate dean of career technical education, effective July 15. He previously served as the interim dean of counseling and student support services at LBCC. “I am delighted that these talented and experienced professionals have agreed to help lead Long Beach City College in this exciting and challenging time,” LBCC Superintendent-President Eloy Ortiz Oakley said in a statement. “Each brings unique talents and skills that will move our college forward and help our students reach their educational goals.” Pictured, from left, are Singhal, To and Brock.
