Wells Fargo Donates Backpacks

September 24, 2013 – Wells Fargo team members from Long Beach, Lakewood, Bellflower, Compton and Downey donated more than 80 backpacks filled with school supplies to the nonprofit organization Olive Crest, whose mission is to serve abused, neglected and at-risk children and their families by providing counseling, education and safe homes for young people. “This backpack donation effort was a labor of love for my team,” Carlos Rosales, Wells Fargo South Los Angeles Metro district manager, said in a statement. “We wanted to make a difference in the communities that our stores serve. After meeting with Olive Crest, I knew this would be a great opportunity. We reached out to our tellers, bankers, and managers to see who would be interested in participating and the response was tremendous. Many of us are parents, and we believe that supporting children in their education is a top priority.” Learn more about Olive Crest at www.OliveCrest.org and visit http://blogs.wellsfargo.com for perspectives and charitable actions by Wells Fargo.
