Seoulmate Long Beach

December 17, 2013 – Jason Kang’s love of food and his Korean culture led him to open Seoulmate, a Korean restaurant located at 4712 E. 7th St. across from Wilson High School. The restaurant officially opened on November 19. Seoulmate’s menu includes a kimchi pork stew, a spicy pork burrito with kimchi, kalbi (grilled short ribs marinated in sesame and soy sauce), bulgogi (thinly sliced rib eye marinated in sesame and soy sauce) and more. “Seoulmate was born out of a desire to bring mom’s Korean recipes to the people of Long Beach,” Kang, who is originally from New York, told the Business Journal. “I’ve lived in the LBC for several years now and love the city. Every day has been a ‘someone pinch me because this can’t be real’ kind of dream come true.” Seoulmate is open for business 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and is closed Sunday and Monday.
