The Long Beach Post has been purchased by Pacific6, a Long Beach investment firm backed by former Molina Healthcare CFO John Molina. The publication has expanded its staff to include former Press-Telegram (P-T) writers Tim Grobaty, Melissa Evans and Jeremiah Dobruck, as well as former P-T photographer Thomas Cordova and former Long Beach Post Executive Editor Brian Addison.

According to Grobaty, today is the first day the Post is operating under new ownership with the expanded newsroom. The online publication has moved into an office at 211 E. Ocean Blvd. “It’s just a much bigger staff. At least 12 people just writing only about Long Beach instead of the Greater Long Beach area,” Grobaty said.

A statement is expected to be issued shortly by the new ownership.
