United Pacific, whose portfolio includes 320 company-operated gas stations and convenience stores and 55 fee-operated and leased locations, is relocating its headquarters to Douglas Park.  The company acquired 2.65 acres from the Sares•Regis Group (SRG) and will break ground this summer on a 40,000-square-foot facility that will house 120 corporate employees.

“We wanted a high-quality location where our employees and visitors would feel safe and can walk to nearby restaurants, markets and other services,” said United Pacific CEO Joe Juliano in a statement released this afternoon. He noted that being adjacent to the Long Beach Airport was also an attraction since employees travel to stores throughout the Western U.S.

United Pacific is currently located in Gardena. Last June, it changed its name from United Oil after acquiring 251 gas station and convenience stores from Pleasanton-based Pacific Convenience & Fuels. The firm now employs more than 2,400 people with operations in California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada and Colorado.

United Pacific is not affiliated with another Douglas Park tenant, United Pacific Industries, which produces commercial truck and classic car parts and accessories.
