This afternoon, the office of Long Beach Mayor Robert Garcia announced that the mayor’s State of the City Address has been moved to Wednesday, January 13. The original date of January 12 conflicted with President Obama’s State of the Union address before Congress. The decision was made “out of respect for the President,” according to the announcement.

To those people who have already RSVP’d for the event, you do not have to RSVP again, nor do you have to print new tickets.

The time and location of the State of the City Address remain the same: 6 p.m. at the Terrace Theater. The pre-event reception remains at 5 p.m. on the Terrace Theater Plaza. Parking is free.
